  1. Perfect fit 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Feb 2014

I actually bought the Light Speed Strap for my field binoculars. I shoot competitive archery and found myself in need of a durable, yet light strap that would fit my binoculars better than the stock strap that originally came with them. What makes this strap so compatible for my needs is that I can easily change the length with one hand making it long enough to sling the binoculars over one shoulder, which doesn't impede my ability to shoot effectively. Great product! Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a light weight and versatile strap.

  2. Simple. Easy to use. My favorite strap(s). 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Feb 2014

I bought one of these a little more than a year ago in Coyote Tan. It has held up very well to almost daily use. The quality of the workmanship has been faultless. I like it so much, in fact, that I was constantly swtiching the strap to whatever camera I happened to be carrying. My only complaint is that after using the strap for a while, the 550 cord gets really tight on the strap lugs or rings, and is a little harder to get off. Still, it has worked so well for me that I ended up buying two more of these in black for other cameras.

The material is highly flexible, so it stuffs down very well when stashing the camera in a bag. The quick adjust is very useful. It's simple to leave the adjustment a little on the long side, sling your camera across your body, cinch down on the adjustment, and keep your camera close to your side without swinging around. Let out the strap and swing the camera around whenever you're ready to shoot. This is also a great feature if you're carrying more than one body. Have one cinched down and leave the other long to avoid cameras bumping into one another.

The quick disconnect is also useful if you happen to have a camera slung across your body and another around your neck. It's quick and easy to unclip and avoid getting all tangled.

I had originally thought that I'd like to have some non-slip material (likethe Original strap had) so the strap won't slide off one shoulder, but in reality, I found that I didn't miss not having it.

I was also concerned about carrying a heavy camera/lens combo with the narrower nylon of this strap. I've found the width to be plenty to avoid discomfort. It's certainly better than the fancy narrow leather strap I bought for a lot more money.

I've had neoprene weight distributing straps, fancy leather straps and the expensive woven silk cord straps, and I keep coming back to the E9 as my favorite every-day, simple, comfortable strap.

I've been using these straps primarily with rangefinder cameras (Epson R-D1, Leica M8, Leica M3, CL and CLE) and small digital (X100, NEX-5), so those of you using giant SLRs may see your mileage vary. The solid brass leica cameras with big fast lenses can be heavy beasts though, so I suspect this strap will work well for just about anything.
